Call for applications for funded Media Scholarships to attend Women Deliver’s 2019 conference in Canada open
Calling all journalists, reporters, bloggers or other media representatives who have passion for covering topics such as development, gender or women’s health and rights. You are invited to apply for a scholarship to attend Women Deliver 2019, the world’s largest conference on gender equality and the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women.
The Women Deliver 2019 Conference will take place on 3-6 June 2019 in Vancouver, Canada. The conference will focus on power and how it can be used for good and will feature activists and progressive leaders from across the globe, including #MeToo founder Tarana Burke, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, heads of UN agencies and leaders in industry.
All journalists attending the conference will have access to high-level speakers and attendees representing experts in development, elected officials, global advocates and the next generation of leaders.
A select group of media representatives will also receive a fully-funded scholarship to help increase the reach of these important messages and extend coverage of vital issues globally. Accepted applicants will receive an exclusive invite to attend a day-long orientation program in advance of the conference to preview key events.
The media scholarship includes:
· Conference registration
· Economy roundtrip airfare
· Hotel accommodation for days of the conference
· Ground transportation for days of the conference
· Per diem for days of the conference
· Visa reimbursement
· Health insurance
