Issues of population, poverty eradication, economic development and the environment are interrelated in a complex and multifaceted way. Population is also related to a host of other issues, from demography, urbanisation, gender, food and nutrition, health and human rights to name just a few. But many of the debates around population and development are polarised in terms of religion, politics and culture and so provide real challenges for communicating clearly and effectively in such debates.
BRC works with clients to help give a balanced insight into the global population trends and challenges faced, especially as we head towards a global population of 7 Billion in 2011.
Our work includes;
● Strategic communications planning and outreach for UN Day of 7 Billion in 2011 ● Organized media field trips for European parliamentarians to Ethiopia ● Organized and ran media centre at European Parliamentary conference on population and development ● Promoting UNFPA and the UCL Population Footprints conference
